It's a long, long way to Tipperary!

Happy St. Paddy's day, everybody!!! I hope it was wonderful. Ours was ~ very. Amazingly! It was one of those those that was nonstop. With a whole bunch of ouchie stuff out-numbering the happy stuff ~ but somehow miraculously the happy stuff still wins and saves the day. I love it when that happens.

Yesterday, I made us a crammed packed mixed cd of 48 Irish Folk songs. Which started this morning out with a bang - literally. I'm only sad that it is now midnight and I no longer have an excuse to listen to it nonstop . . . or do I? :)

We ate lunch at Dugan's - yummo. It was perfection. As it almost always is there. I had me favorite Bleu Cheese Burger, mashed potatoes and Ginger Ale. Wow. That sure did sound healthy. ;) Soooo happy though. We got to sit right beside the very awesome live Irish Trio Band. It was bliss.
After our beyond wonderful, 40 minutes in paradise, lunchin' . . . we left and went to catch up on things at the shelter. Sara doesn't care for this picture - I love it. I took it. Can I say that? It captures an oh-so-common moment we have in our lives that I hadn't been able to "catch" before. How does it hurt my heart and warm it all at once? Oh mystery.

It was a hard day there. It was. Those dogs amaze me. Absolutely amaze me.
It always helps when we are able to take one with us when we leave . . . We took little Miss Micky out to dinner and hung out with her until her foster mum arrived. Of course we made sure she wore a green collar. Of course.

. . . . then we came home. Ate Bailey's Irish Cream Pie and all lived Happily Ever After.

Shall I now catch you up on some of my Project 365 photo? Here we go:

Jennifer Jones

"If you could choose one characteristic that would get you through life, choose a sense of humor."
- Jennifer Jones
I have to confess . . . I really know very little about Jennifer Jones. Except things that involve dear, dear Robert Walker. I could tell you anything about Mr. Walker. I do know that I bawl my eyes out every single time I watch 'Since You Went Away'. Always, always swear I'll never watch it again. But I do. Over and over. Very unhealthy movie . . FYI.

I also know that four of her movies entertained me whilst I was sick. I didn't realize that it was a tribute at the time and that was why TCM was playing soo many Jennifer Jones movies. Gee, I feel smart. Anyway, thank you for that, Miss Jones. I enjoyed the company so very much . . .

Mr. & Mrs Robert Walker = one of the most adorable heartbreaking romances of all time.
Here is a salute to an intimidating gorgeous human being!
To all of those boxes of Kleenexes and a golden star.

It's delightful, it's delicious, it's delectable!

The past two weeks have been swell. Victorious even! After having to postpone my test four times . . . sick, snow, sick, snow . . . it has been taken and passed. w00t! That makes me so happy. Moving on. Ready to study new subjects! And pass them too ~ of course.

On Friday, we went to Dahlonega to eat lunch with Clara & Miss Lisa. What cute shops are there! Fabric stores are so dangerous. I hadn't been in a real goodie fabric store in so long ~ definitely came home with happy ideas. I am saddened that I didn't take that many pictures during this day trip. Not sure how that happened. Except perhaps I was just toooo excited to see such dear friends once more! And so soon too! Such happiness.

I'm craving violet jam something fierce . . .

A beautiful sight! We're happy tonight . . .

My oh my!! I'm actually posting! I've been attempting to for days. Very slowly uploading my 365 photos. I wasn't going to be able to sit down and really post them until Wednesday. But I'm snowed in today. My previous plans have been postponed. Taking complete advantage of this snow day. This snow day that I'm not sick. Squee! This snow day that TCM is playing the best of movies. Mr. Kelly, Mr Astaire . . and Mr. Lawford.

Can you believe it's March? It seems this month always surprises me. Especially since it's snowing so heavily outside - it doesn't look like March. Surely it's still February.

Aside from having to cancel my Humanities again and slightly running in circles around life ~ this week it looking wonderful! This snow is gorgeous. Fluffy. Not too wet. Hot chocolate friendly. As long as it melts by Thursday, I love it. Because you see, I have piano lesson to go AND favorite people to see. So, please, please melt tomorrow!

Goodness Peter Lawford is handsome.

I'm going to go jam away to Cole Porter for a while . . . then drink some hot chocolate. Join me?

Winter Slush & Model Bebe

I'm not feeling anywhere near wordy tonight. But I wasn't for my last post either . . . so I feel somewhat obliged to write something.
Sara & I desperately are wanting to make Posie Gets Cozy's afghan. Cayooute? Isn't it? I love those colors.
This week has matched the weather. Hm. Mixture of "Aw! The purty snowflakes!" and "Yuck. Slush."
We are stocked with enough hot chocolate to last us until next winter. *happy sigh*
I think I've had my share of unflattering pictures posted on FB to last me all of 2010. May I please, please remain behind the camera for the rest of the year? Thank you.

I am such an old lady.
I've been quilting this evening - now watching dear Lawrence Welk with two lovely hounds.
There. I was sociable. :)
